Netcarbon is a Bordeaux-based start-up founded in 2022. I carried out a UX and UI Audit on their Netcarbon Intelligence application on a voluntary basis. Thanks to satellite data, this application tracks the state of vegetation. It helps those involved in urban development to act in favor of greening cities. For a week, I tested their entire application and then concentrated on analyzing their dashboard.
Before the UX/UI audit
During this audit, I related some problems about accessibility and ergonomic. Indeed, there are insuffisant contrast ratio between background color and text color. Moreover, it’s difficult to find informations and understand the interface’s structure. The most example is the menu to choose an area. The menu drop right is not intuitive.
About graphic design, colors are cold and incoherent. Buttons are not homogeny : some buttons are square, some buttons are round. It’s not logic.

After one week of UI work, I proposed two versions of the dashboard. I’ve added pictograms, improved contrast and simplified the interface.
